Tofu Scramble

TOFU SCRAMBLE

Serves: 2

 

Ingredients:

·         300g Tofu

·         1 Tbsp butter

·         2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast

·         ½ tsp Garlic Powder

·         ¼ tsp Black Salt Kala Namak* - this gives the tofu an egg-like taste

·         ¼ tsp Onion Powder

·         100ml of low-fat milk

To serve: can serve with 1 x piece of multigrain/low carb high protein toast and ¼ avocado!

 

Method:

1.      Mash the tofu with a fork to desired consistency and chunk size

2.      Add the milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, black salt and onion powder to a bowl and whisk together

3.      Add the butter to a frying pan and heat until hot. Add the tofu and fry it until lightly browned, being careful not to break it up too much when moving it around the pan.

4.      Add the sauce and fold it in. Fry it until you’ve achieved desired consistency, the tofu will absorb the sauce so you can have it as wet or as dry as you like.
