Choc Apple Oats
Indulge in our new Choc Apple Oats recipe, perfectly crafted to warm you up this winter season. A delicious blend of hearty oats, rich chocolate, and tender apples, it's a cozy treat that nourishes both body and soul.
Ingredients:
- Rolled oats, raw 1/2 cup (125mL)
- Full fat milk 1 cup (250mL)
- Cacao powder, 100% 1/2 tablespoon
- Vanilla essence 1/2 teaspoon
- Pecan, raw, unsalted 1/4 cup
- Cinnamon spice, ground 1/2 teaspoon
- Apple, red skin, unpeeled, raw 1/2 medium sized
- Raspberries, 6 raw
- High Protein Yoghurt, Plain (Chobani FIT or YoPro) 2 tablespoon
Method:
1. Add the oats, milk, cacao, vanilla, crushed pecans and cinnamon to a small saucepan on medium heat on the stove. Bring to a boil, then let simmer until the milk has reduced but not evaporated, and the oats are soft. Remove from the heat and let cool.
2. Slice the apple and with raspberries, layer over the porridge in a bowl. Drizzle with yoghurt to serve.
